From the Director:

Parents sign up once or twice a month to be the "Helper" for the day. That person assists the teacher in preparing materials for the special project, helping children with activities, general clean up. It is also your child's special day to act as the leader for all classroom tasks, bring in a "show-n-tell" item and provide the snack for the day. Helper Day is also an excellent opportunity for parents to see how their child progresses in a structured learning environment as well as how they respond and interact in a social setting.

"ZIPPCO is a non-profit co-operative preschool that allows parents the opportunity to actively participate in the classroom while watching their child and other children develop in a structured and social environment. They observe how the teacher handles various situations and gain a greater understanding and enjoyment of their children through active involvement in their education. Parents learn useful ideas for helping their children at home and in the world around them. Children and parents develop strong relationships with friends they've made in the ZIPPCO family.
