A Typical Day

8:50 to 9:00 a.m. Arrival of Children
Families may start coming into the school at this time. Children will
develop self-help skills such as hanging up coats, backpacks, etc. Children
are to check helper board.

9:00 to 9:30 Purposeful Play:
Children will have a choice of various activities and will have opportunity
for socialization with peers. Activities open for the morning will be ready
for the children when they arrive. These activities include blocks,
manipulatives, books, housekeeping, computer, puzzles, etc. and will vary
from week to week.

9:30 to 9:50 Circle Time:
Circle time includes: Attendance, calendar and jobs.

9:50 to 10:20 Early Education:
This is our table time where worksheets and crafts will be done. During
this time the children will learn to identify, and or write the letter or
number of the day along with learning the importance of following

10:20 to 10:30 Bathroom Break:
All children are encouraged to use the rest room at this time. We will all
practice good hygiene.

10:30 to 10:40 Snack Time:
Snacks will be provided by the preschool. However, children may bring a
special snack for their birthday. During this time the children will practice
using good manners.

10:40 to 11:00 Discovery Time:
Children will explore special concepts with Schience, History, Music, and

11:00 to 11:20 Special Activity:
Activities will include â??show and shareâ??, special story time, playground.

11:20 to 11:30 Dismissal and clean up
This teaches the children how to work together as a group.


Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation
