From the Director:

At The Circle School, children practice life as members of school society, independent of family. Empowered by the school’s structure, governance, and culture, and free to pursue self-chosen challenges and opportunities, children develop new competence and become increasingly self-reliant within a community of support. The Circle School can be seen as a microcosm of the larger world, where children develop and practice the skills they’ll use later in life.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

The Circle School's curriculum is student-led, allowing nearly infinite room for individualized teaching.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

The Circle School allows a more seamless fit between school, home, life, and the world. When children are free to pursue their own interests at school, school takes on an entirely wholesome character in their lives and becomes a preferred place for carrying on life’s most important work.

The Circle School also eliminates the expectation of parental enforcement of the demands made by other schools. There is no need, for example, for parents to force children to complete homework. This frees parents and children to discover new harmony and rhythm in the family-child-school triangle.

Separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

Individualized approach, with great flexibility in scheduling.
