"Our most important investment in the future is found in our children. The highest possible achievement for any child is to understand and follow God’s plan and purpose for their life. To realize this goal their heart must be born again through the power of the Holy Spirit and their mind renewed and bathed continually in the Word of God 􀂙 Parent Partnership (Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Psalm 78:1-7, Ephesians 6:1-4) The Word of God directs parents to educate and equip their children to live godly lives. The purpose of the Academy is to partner with parents and aid them in this process. Cooperation between the home, church, and school is integral in effective instruction and discipleship of children to prepare them for adulthood. These three components cannot be isolated. Therefore, the school must address each of these intertwined components to develop the total child spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. Since church commitment is one of the essential cords to full development, parents are expected to involve the family in a local Bible-believing church. 􀂙 Biblical Worldview (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Joshua 1:8-9, Colossians 2:8, Hebrews 1:1-2, 4:12) The Word of God is celebrated as the foundation for all learning. Every fact and subject studied is recognized as flowing from the Word of God. All subjects flow through a biblical worldview; that God is the beginning of all knowledge and that He is Truth. All truth is God’s truth, from the hand of God and intended for man’s use. The Bible verbally inspired and inerrant in its entirety, is the final authority. This biblical worldview is the basis for including and for interpreting
the meaning and value of all school subjects. The students will discover meaning and build understanding of truths that already exist. We are depending on God to reveal His approach to schooling as a means of building godly character and virtue as the basis of joyful obedience to His plan for each student’s life. 􀂙 Leadership Development (Mark 10:43-44) The academy provides a learning community that teaches godly leadership skills and characteristics that educate and equip students to fulfill God’s call on their lives. Inculcated into the learning process, students are given daily opportunities to use leadership skills. Principles of excellence in leadership are taught from examples of godly men and women in the Bible. The goal is to develop this generation to look beyond themselves and become leaders used for His glory, to impact their school, church, community and world. 􀂙 A Discipleship Learning Community (Colossians 1:10, Ephesians 3:13-19) In a discipleship learning community high academic, spiritual and technological studies are included to challenge students to achieve their best as life-long learners and disciples of Jesus Christ. Learning must be a lifetime goal where students are growing and changing to become more like Jesus Christ. Realizing that each student is created in the image of a creative God, a differentiated classroom* approach to learning is used. Differentiating instruction means creating multiple paths so that students of different abilities, interest or learning needs experience equally appropriate ways to absorb, use, develop and present concepts as a part of the daily learning process. It allows students to take greater responsibility and ownership for their own learning, and provides opportunities for peer teaching and cooperative learning. 􀂙 The Teaching Staff Leads the Way (Luke 6:39-40, 1 Timothy 4:6-11, Colossians 2:6-8) The teacher is the living curriculum, serving the students as an example of a maturing, ministering believer who is making a difference in their world by living the truth. Embracing a Biblical worldview, the teacher helps the student develop an appreciation for the subjects taught within God’s perfect design and to instill a desire in the students to become life long learners. Further, their role is to educate the whole child. Running through the inseparable components of the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical areas, is the consistent thread of the Word of God, who is Jesus. Trained, Christian teachers through whom the Spirit of God leads, act as guides, discussion leaders, and organizers of interactive group experiences. Setting the standard for excellence in the classroom, they apply differentiated instruction with the Bible as source and guide when developing curriculum, activities, and programs."
