From the Director:
We work to balance free time and directed time, provide many opportunities for choices, and offer activities that address all the learning styles, while keeping the children busy and engaged. This approach minimizes our need for discipline. When we do need to correct an individual child's behavior, first we speak with the child. If that is not adequate and their actions are disruptive or harmful for others we may remove them from the activity or room for a short time. We occasionally use short time-outs when necessary. We also speak with parents when we think it will help the child to have that accountability piece in place.
