From the Director:
Our preschool curriculum has been developed by several highly qualified teachers and refined over many years. We offer changing activities weekly and opportunities for self-exploration and teacher-directed activities in every classroom. Our Kindergarten curriculum is ACSI.
Our low teacher to child ratio allows teachers to work individually with students or prepare individual materials/curriculum based on each child's level of development. While a teacher works one-on-one with a student, an assistant teacher aids in supervising the class.
Our infant & toddler programs are self contained classrooms.
Our preschool, kindergarten and daycamp classes offer uniquely rotating schedules that allow children to remain with the same teacher and students throughout the day while experiencing all 7 of our classrooms.
Infants & Toddlers are in a self-contained classroom and their schedules are individualized.

We have a parent handbook, open house, home visits for preschool, monthly paper and email newsletter, weekly updates from teachers, individual conference or meetings available at any time with our teachers or Director, as well as monthly community events for families. We have an open door policy and encourage parents to volunteer or visit our classrooms. Our Pre-Kingergarten classes receive progress reports twice annually and our Kindergarten class has individual conferences and report cards quarterly.
Separation anxiety is handled on an individual basis. We have a variety of opportunities for families to visit our classrooms before they enroll at Sunshine School and a variety of options once their child starts school. Throughout the year our teachers work individually with parents on the best course for their child.
