General Approach to Learning: Teacher-Led

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

We have a small group time scheduled where the teachers have an opportunity to observe individual progress. We try to communicate with the parents and work with them to accommodate their child's needs, whether it be fulfilling those that are ahead with age appropriate materials or helping those that struggling.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We are a small school with only 3 classes. We aim to provide a Bible based curriculum that exposes the students to godly character traits and principles while preparing the children for their academic future in grade school. We change our academic theme each week as well as each week we change our Bible theme. We are unique in that we strive to build self confidence through 4 different opportunities when the children perform on stage in front of their parents during our regular school year. Harvest Day, Christmas, Mother's Day and Graduation. We film all of this activities and provide a DVD at the end of the year with all the children's performances on it.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We have an orientation open house the day before school starts. However, most families have at this point already have come for a personal tour where they are shown our curriculum and explained what our goals are. We provide a parent handbook and also ask parents to fill out a form that asks their view of their child's strengths and weaknesses. We have a Back to School night
usually in Oct. and though we only have scheduled parent/teacher conferences once a year, we are available to schedule time with any parent that has questions or concerns.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school

Handling Separation: From the Director

In the classes with the younger children, we allow parents to stay with the children until the child feels comfortable. Then we ask the parent to transition out of the classroom, with the knowledge that they can call us to check up on their child or we would call them if their child has not calmed down after a reasonable amount of time. We want the children's experience to be a favorable one, one of which they will look forward to coming back.
