Philosophy & Approach

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"The planned curricula in each classroom offer a developmentally appropriate balance of individual and group experiences designed to promote creativity, self-esteem, language development, cognitive skills, physical growth, environmental awareness and social-emotional skills. Using an anti-bias approach different curricula are developed reflecting children's cultural and ethnic diversity.
Based on Piagetian philosophy, we seek to provide each child with an environment and learning experience appropriate to individual needs and interests. We believe in an open environment in which each child is free to explore and experiment. We emphasize that play is the child's way of learning and that through play a child makes choices, discovers new ideas, problemsolves, and gains a sense of his/her own competence.
