Individualized Teaching: From the Director

When it comes to literacy and mathematics we will pull children out of our main room into small groups to enrich or help in the areas needed.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We recognize the importance of balanced growth so we provide opportunities for mental, physical and emotional growth through a variety of creative experiences. Parents can participate and bring experiences into our classroom. We have guest speakers and a few field trips per year. A unique feature of our 4 year school year program is: we begin the first semester as a typical pre-school program second semester is geared up for pre-kindergarten.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

The teachers have daily contact with parents to pass along daily information or problems. If there is a persistent problem, teachers will call the parent at home in the evening. We also have parent teacher conferences with our classes. At the beginning of the school year we have a parent orientation meeting and throughout the year meetings if parents request.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Parents in classroom early on

Handling Separation: From the Director

Parents are invited, if need be, to come and sit in the classroom, as long as need be, until the child feels comfortable. Many times we have called parents on the phone, letting children converse with mom.
