School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

We believe in a delicate balance between free play and structure. Since children have different learning styles, we provide a balance of learning through doing, watching, and guided instruction. Since a longer attention span for listening will be necessary for Kindergarten, our curriculum will slowly build this span and grow their interest in learning in many different formats.

Our teachers backgrounds include elementary school teaching and early childhood special education. Our teachers kindness and caring extends beyond the classroom walls to include the child's family in everday learning strategies.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

As we work to achieve the highest standards in the State of Ohio, we consider our families part of our team. We provide special evening activities for the entire family, like pizza pajama nights, parents night out, and the Findlay Famous Big Wheel Rally where children and family celebrate our race to educational excellence.

Our teachers meet with parents for a baseline conference to hear what goal and expectations the parents may have for their children. Progress conferences can be requested at any time during the school year. Spring conferences formally address kindergarten readiness.


Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

If a child needs extra help with separation, we will set up an individual family plan for each child based their individual needs.
