General School Mission

"To motivate in students a desire for learning.
To create an atmosphere that encourages each student's involvement in learning.
To guide in learning experiences that will enable them to be responsible, considerate, law abiding, contributing citizens of our democracy at every stage of their development.
To help students acquire communication skills essential for effective living including reading, writing, speaking, listening, music, art, literature, and mathematics.
To educate students of the need for good health and physical fitness, and to establish the mental attitudes and controlled emotional reactions of self-disciplined individuals.
To cultivate habits of analytical thinking in students; to recognize problems to observe effectively and listen attentively, to organize information, to arrive at tentative conclusions.
To teach students about basic concepts of liberty and the heritage that has been handed to them by past generations in order to promote world understanding.
To require students to develop a career plan that supports and guides them through a career pathway.
To promote an awareness of global diversity and to develop a genuine acceptance of the work and dignity of all individuals.
To instill in students a basic understanding of the natural laws of the universe and the need for solutions to the growing environmental problems on our planet.
To instill in students the desire to keep pace and be competent with the ever-changing technology in today's world. "
