Day in the Life

General School Mission

We are a low to no-cost speech & hearing clinic, staffed with speech-language pathologists and audiologists, many with their Ph.D., AuD's in addition to their clinical masters and teaching certifications.

We are a teaching facility, so Bachelors and Masters level students in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology work in tandem with certified clinicians to carry out therapeautic and educational programs.

A Typical Day

Sessions are one on one or in small groups of up to five children.

Sessions range from 30 minutes to one hour depending on the needs of the child and availability in the center.

Home-School Connection

In person meetings with parents. Parents also watch session via a two-way mirrow to learn techniques for fostering development and for facilitating carry over of skills to the home and other functional environments


Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Parents in classroom early on

Handling Separation: From the Director

Parents stay in the session rooms until child is comforable. Separation takes place in small steps.
