"In both General and Judaic studies the overriding goal of our program is to help the child develop to the fullest of his/her intellectual, creative, aesthetic, and emotional potential. While committed to high standards, our school is equally committed to meeting the needs of each child and maximizing his/her abilities. Through a warm and supportive environment we strive to have each child develop a positive self-image based on a sense of self worth and personal accomplishments. In addition to Judaic and General Studies remediation is available and assistant teachers are assigned to lower grade classes.
The Reuben Gittelman Hebrew Day School places just as high a priority on the process of education as it does on the products of education. We regard the way children learn as having utmost importance for the results of their learning. Great emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking skills through encouraging creativity, exploration, open inquiry, experimentation, and problem solving in all areas of the curriculum.
