We believe children learn through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule. Each day, your child will be exposed to age-appropriate activities and learning centers designed to stimulate his/her creativity and curiosity, and encourage the use of fine and gross motor skills, listening skills, language development, and social interaction.
Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, stimulating, and happy environment for your child where he/she can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially at his/her own pace.
Activities include active and quiet play and both structured and unstructured times including:
Teacher directed activities
Centers include imaginative play (dress-up and kitchen), cars and blocks, theatre and puppets, doll house, listening, language and writing, computers, science, manipulatives, math, quiet room (puzzles, felt board and books) and teacher-directed activities.
A weekly schedule is planned around a theme or themes that are age and developmentally appropriate for 3- and 4-year-olds. Stories and center activities are based around this theme.
Themes for each week include projects that will encourage and develop skills in the following areas: cognitive, language, social, emotional and physical development. Activities and materials in the physical environment are designed to allow children safe and easy access. They are also used to help children learn to share, take turns, and gain skills in negotiating and problem solving.
