Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Teacher-Led

From the Director:

Most of our Pre-K and Kindergarten children advance one grade level, so when they do go to first grade they are better prepared, most with a 2nd grade reading level. We are a Center geared to Parents interested in sending their children to gifted elementary programs (either in Private or Public Schools)once their children leave VIP. DCC or simply recieve a structured, safe and neat introduction to academic and social skills.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

We openly discuss potential trouble areas with parents and fully expect their cooperation for the benefit of their child, should a child need more attention that which we can provide, we inform the parent that we may not be the appropiate Center to help said child.
Children attending Pre-K or Kindergarten which excell recieve one on one attention all the way to "First Grade Level" as long as they are happy and up for the challange in learning.
All children are Special in their own way and should be addressed appropiately, we have not met one that was "different", we don't see "Different Children" we do see "Special needs".

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"Our goal is to provide a loving, fun, educational environment to all children, by which they may develop their sense of speech, movement, relations and expand their personality.

Our hope is to open doors for communication, higher learning experiences and be able to recognize that every new step, as small as it may be is a step forward to a brighter tomorrow.

Our wish is to offer a safe and clean surrounding where every precaution is taken for the welfare and comfort of the children, as well as adults, therefore creating a setting every one can look forward to, every day.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Parent / Teacher meetings.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Small group sessions

Handling Separation: From the Director

We have found that, the longer the parent lingers, the harder it is for most children to adapt to separation.
If a child does not show signs of adjustment after 2 weeks we normally inform the parent that, maybe, the child is not yet emotionally ready for a structured setting such as ours.
