We offer child centered learning for 3 and 4 year olds. Our model is based on Creative Curriculum and 4 objectives - Social Emotional Development, Fine and Gross Motor Skills, Cognitive Skills with Prereading and PreMath practice, and Aethestic (dance, art and music)

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

The UPK teachers receive a day per month of Professional Development to build skills in responding to students in ways which build the skills called for in the lesson plan. The 3 year old teachers receive Professional Developments and sessions with our Curriculum Specialist

Both the three year old program and the Universal PreK program curricula are very influenced by the Creative Curriculum Company.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

We do assessments in the first and third quarters of the school year.

We offer a Gifted and Talented session with input from Educators and tips about the screening process

We invite local principals of elementary schools to a 'Principals Night' as parents choose the elementary program for their child.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We have five goals for students which interact with the specific curricula of each program.

1. To strengthen Social Emotional skills of students and increase their confidence in learning.

2. To increase the curiosity of students that builds skills for later autonomous work in education.

3. To provide exercise and healthy meals for students.

4. To introduce students to appropriate use of technology - especially computer based.

5. To develop student's respect for their cultural backgrounds and experience the joy of sharing with others.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

The three year old program teacher send a daily email on the events in the class. The four year old UPK teachers send a similiar weekly email.


Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Parents in classroom early on

Handling Separation: From the Director

Parents are welcome to be in the classroom if there is unusual separation anxiety. Parents also have camera access to the class and can see and hear how their child is interacting.
