Day in the Life

General School Mission

"At Carousel we believe that each child is endowed with his or her own individual capacities and characteristics. Knowing each child personally enables Carousel to provide the kind of education best suited for his or her distinct needs. Our objectives are such to include a well-rounded program which encompasses the social and academic skills necessary for a lifetime of continuous learning and adaptation. We believe that certain criteria are essential to obtain these objectives, one very important factor being, having FUN. The results have always proven to be positive. Exercising their minds by allowing them to be creative, providing meaningful challenges, accomplishments in sports and athletic abilities are the tools provided by Carousel for independence and happiness. We feel confident that Carousel will provide a healthy, productive and happy experience for both you and your child"

A Typical Day

Each day the children follow a structured routine which includes circle time, academics, art, playtime (outdoors and in), story time, singing, rhythm and movement and snack. Weekly visits to our library where they learn basic computer skills, choose a book to take home and have acess to our listening center. We also enjoy many special events and field trips.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Each month the parents receive monthly calendars listing any special events happening. Teachers send home monthly newsletters. The children's work goes home each day in a folder so that the parent is always aware of what their child is learning. Before school begins we have a meet the teacher day, open school night, parent teacher conferences and report cards. Our Director is available by phone from 7am until 6pm each day. Parents can always reach their child's teacher via a note or phone call. We have an open door policy parents are welcome to stop by anytime during the day.
