"Saint Theresa School, a member of the Roman Catholic Archdiocesan school system, is staffed by lay faculty and subsidized by parish contributions and the financial support of the Church. We strive to foster a Christian community in which each child is encouraged to reach his or her full potential. We create an environment in which the children can grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Our ultimate goal is to see that each child leaves us with a solid moral and academic foundation.
A child's parents are the primary educators of their child and, therefore, we encourage the parents' positive active support in their child's education. At Saint Theresa School, the children participate in daily prayer, liturgical celebrations, and opportunities for individual worship. We hope that parents will encourage these practices, and participate in many of them along with their children.
Roman Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of New York base not only their educational purposes, but all their activities, on the Christian teaching of the essential equality of all students. Saint Theresa School welcomes students of all backgrounds and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, or national origin. We seek families who wish to participate academically and socially in all aspects of their child's formative years. The welfare of the children is our main goal, and through the cooperation and teamwork of all those involved, we will produce happy, loving, and well-adjusted children
