Day in the Life

A Typical Day

"The daily routine is as follows:
7:30 - 8:55 A.M. Children begin work as they arrive.
9:00 - 9:10 Work is put away and children get ready for circle.
9:10 - 9:20 Morning Circle- attendance, flag salute, calendar, weather.
9:20 - 10:30 Work time (individual snack at some point during this time period)
10:30 - 10:40 Work is put away and children get ready for recess.
10:40 - 11:00 Recess on playground.
11:00 - 11:40 Additional work time and/or story time.
11:40 - 12:00 Children get ready for lunch, set tables, straighten up room..
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch.
12:30 - 2:40 Individual time.
1:40 - 2:40 Rest Time
2:40 - 3:00 children who are awake continue with work; other children may continue to sleep.
2:40 - 3:00 Circle, children get ready to go outside.li>
3:00 - 3:50 Outside play and activities.
3:50 - ? Work and snack time until child is picked up.

Half Day (PM) Routine:
12:20 - 12:30 - Arrival

3:00 - 3:15 Dismissal

All Day (as early as 7:30 to as late as 6:00)

Upon Waking Work Time
