"The philosophy of the Morristown Neighborhood House is that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration and discovery. Young children are creative, receptive and curious! The Pre-School Child Care Program, licensed by the State of New Jersey and Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, is open year-round and provides a safe and nurturing atmosphere on a full-day basis for the children of working parents. Our purpose is to create an environment that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development of the child on a whole. Parents are encouraged to be involved in the education of their child. Each classroom is equipped with a qualified teacher and assistant that provides a staff to child ratio of one to seven. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and is designed to foster the growth of each child in the program. Bi-lingual teachers and an Early Childhood Specialist from the Morris School District help enhance the professional staff and support the diverse families of the community.
