General School Mission

"At Cambridge Children's Academy, we believe there are seven key components of our program that create the bridge each child needs to successfully develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively.
These components are Children, Environment, Parents, Teachers, Administration, Community and Curriculum:
Children : Children are our first priority. By developing a solid foundation, based on a positive self-image and the opportunity to grow and develop to their fullest potential, young children will be prepared for their future.
We believe: Learning to interact positively with others develops social skills, cooperation and self-control.
Children learn best by "doing". They are active participants in a nurturing environment created to encourage individual strengths and interests.
Environmen : A welcoming environment provides reassurance to parents that their child will look forward to arriving each day. The center's overall design provides a balance of focused learning, free play, creativity, and quiet reflection.
We believe: Maintaining a bright, cheerful, safe and clean environment is essential to a quality program.
Children need frequent opportunities to explore the outdoors in a setting designed for discovery through play.
Parents : Developing partnerships with parents is essential to the success of our program. Communication is the most important element needed to establish a mutual trust and respect of the values, expectations and cultural background of each family.
We believe: Parents are a child's first teacher and their guidance is needed when creating developmental goals for the children.
Parents always have the opportunity to share in their children's achievements.
Teachers : Our credentialed teachers are knowledgeable in the developmental skills of each age group. Teachers are required to continue their ongoing professional training to maintain certification. We encourage them to keep abreast of developments in the field of early childhood education.
We believe: The teacher's role is to enhance the children's learning experiences by engaging with them in activities, chosen to fit their level of development.
All staff will be held to the highest standards, including a professional code of ethics.
Administration : Our management team's knowledge, experience and professionalism create an enjoyable work and learning environment. We're dedicated to ensuring your child and our teachers' experiences are positive and rewarding.
We believe: Our mission, goals and objectives will keep us focused on QUALITY, with a vision to develop strategies for change and constant improvement.
Our leadership will be a positive model of ethical conduct.
Community : Our involvement within the community will show our dedication not only to your children, but our commitment to building a stronger neighborhood. Interaction with community leaders guide children toward self-respect and respect for others.
We believe: Fostering a sense for community is essential to developing social skills within and beyond the classroom.
It is our responsibility to be a positive role model in the community by being active in early childhood associations and professional groups.
Curriculum : Our curriculum combines elements of developmentally appropriate practice, environmental awareness and children's literature. Creative experiences developed by our teachers with guidance from our parents are designed to promote a high level of curiosity. The curriculum takes place indoors and outdoors with specific activities prepared to promote discovery through play. Our learning environment provides daily opportunities for children to thrive. Enthusiasm for learning, and joy in their own accomplishments, give children the foundation necessary to master the skills necessary for their educational development."
