General School Mission

""Hinder them not" Montessori School is a Montessori/Christian preschool and kindergarten servicing children and their parents in the Union County area. We are located on North 8th Street in Kenilworth, New Jersey and are fully licensed by the State of New Jersey.
"Hinder them not" Montessori School's mission is to provide the most excellent Montessori environment possible and make available to each child a safe place to learn and develop self-discipline, self-confidence, and high self-esteem through academic achievement.
All children are always cared for with understanding and appreciation. "Hinder them not" is a non-denominational Christian school teaching God's love and goodness. In addition to Montessori's spiritual principles, children are also taught basic Christian beliefs.
"Hinder them not" is both a Montessori School and a Christian School. Having a vision and a calling to start a Montessori/Christian preschool, Sally McGeehan founded "Hinder them not" in 1999.
Hinder them not" Montessori School is different than all other schools because we are a one classroom Montessori/Christian school and the founder is still the head teacher in the classroom. Our classroom is a peaceful place, a nurturing place, a place for children, and a place of learning. "

Children who come between 7:00 a.m. & 8:30 a.m. may bring breakfast and work within classroom under the teacher's supervision.
At 8:30 a.m. all other children arrive.
