Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Teacher-Led

From the Director:

Our phylosophy is simple. It is to have the children learn to play (social development) and play to learn (academic development).

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Our staff is trained with the following phylosophy. As teachers of preschool children, we do not expect all the children to adapt to our style of instructing (our boundry). We do have a set and consistent plan for developing the children but we take the extra step to increase the size of that boundry so we can fit the most amount of different learning abilities and personalities inside that boundry as possible. We do this through "differentiated instruction". It works well and it gives the teachers more freedom to adapt to the children rather than them adapting to the teaher.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"To create a unique educational environment built on sound research, qualified instruction and local communities of learning. This environment will help foster academic excellence, instill a love of active learning and provide experiences that enable all of our students to acquire a foundation of skills for lifelong achievement.

Along with our academic program, your child's day will be filled with love, joy, laughter. They will learn patience, sharing, understanding and compassion. You will see the social, as well as the academic, growth that your child has acquired from their experiences at Wee Kids Early Learning Center.
