"Pilgrim believes in letting pre-school children progress at their own rate. This builds self-confidence and a sense of self-worth. Children must feel secure and happy in their school environment. We believe in the philosophy of learning through observation and involvement. Children are exposed to many experiences and encouraged to communicate with their classmates and teachers. Verbalizing with persons other than family or close friends is an important beginning to learning and living. Nothing is more important at Pilgrim than helping your child feel self-confident, secure and happy. Later success in public school and in life are closely related to the development that occurs between the ages of 2 1/2 and 5. We are proud of the fact that the parents of some of our children are alumni of the Pilgrim Nursery School as well as the children of all our teachers!
