"At Temple Beth El Nursery School, each child is an active participant in the learning process. We follow a developmental-interaction approach to early childhood learning. This means that, while focusing on each child's developing response to his or her world, teachers provide an environment in which children freely interact with materials, peers and adults. All the while, the children are also exploring their own thoughts and emotions.
We create an environment where children feel free to explore, question and hypothesize. We encourage language development as the children are guided to create communities of learners who feel comfortable exploring their environment together. Kids share ideas and develop common goals, often working together on class projects. Their Jewish identity is enhanced as they celebrate Shabbat and the holidays through songs, stories, puppetry, craft, and cooking. Children leave Temple Beth El Nursery School with a strong sense of self as well as the skills they will need to succeed in an elementary school setting. At Temple Beth El Nursery School, kids learn how to learn.
