"The curriculum of Little Footprints Learning Center is based on the philosophy that children learn best in a warm, supportive atmosphere where the uniqueness of each child is recognized and valued.
We believe that young children learn by doing: What is meaningful and important to a child is what s/he knows, sees and feels. All learning must begin there, building on what s/he knows, helping the child to understand connections and relationships. Children need to be provided with a large variety of experiences, appropriate to their age and developmental level, which will help them to make sense out of the complicated world in which they live.
Learning activities will be designed to nourish spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth. A child can make the most of his/her intellectual ability if s/he is well developed emotionally and socially.
Our goals are to help the children:
Develop concepts of Christian living and Christ's special love for His children.
Become secure and trusting in their relationships with adults and other children away from the home environment.
Develop an interest in words and reading.
Expand communication skills.
Develop beginning math concepts.
Develop an awareness of the world around them through their five senses.
Develop and challenge their physical skills, both gross and fine motor.
Develop an understanding and acceptance of themselves; with the result being a healthy and positive self image.
Develop an understanding and acceptance of others, including their family and friends.
Learn to share with others
Develop the ability to express their emotions in constructive ways"
