" Kids are people, and people make mistakes. A good provider is relaxed and patient around children, talks to them (not at them), and treats each child like a special person. A good provider understands what children can do and what children want to do at different stages of growth. A good provider provides materials and activities to enrich these stages. A good provider approaches and talks to a child on his/her level, rather than yell at them from across the room. "
