General Approach to Learning: Teacher-Led

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"Little Pros Academy believes young children are active learners. They learn by using their senses and actions to interact with their environment.
Little Pros Academy is dedicated to providing young children with quality early childhood experiences. Current brain development research supports LPA dedication by acknowledging that a child's early interactions with their environment determines how their brain will develop and continue to develop as they grow.
Little Pros Academy provides young children with quality learning experiences by providing an educational curriculum that:
Focuses on the use of meaningful, hands-on, concrete activities.
Believes Teachers are facilitators, allowing children to make choices and to learn from their interactions with their environment.
Provides a classroom environment that encourages children to freely play, explore, experiment, and create.
Provides developmentally appropriate toys and games while emphasizing an integrated curriculum. Children are able to expand their cognitive development successfully"

A Typical Day

"Daily Schedule
All age groups play outdoors daily, if conditions protect children's health and safety.
The schedule provides for alternating periods for quiet and active play.
A Balance of large muscle and small muscle activity is provided.
More than one option for group activity (individual, small group, or large group) is available to children most of the day. Infants and toddlers are not expected to function as a large group.
A balance of child-initiated and teacher-initiated activity is provided. The amount of time spent in teacher-initiated, large-group activity is limited."
