General Approach to Learning: Co-op

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"Since the founding of the Chapel Hill Cooperative Preschool in 1960, the members and staff have been dedicated to providing a warm and loving environment for children’s learning and play. As a cooperative, our children have profited from a high level of parental involvement and communal responsibility. We have been responsive to the changing social forces of Chapel Hill, namely, the increase in the number of families with parents working outside the home and the high cost of quality childcare. We have endeavored to retain our emphasis on inclusiveness and diversity among our members. With these commitments and values in mind, we have endorsed the following goals with respect to partnership and our educational program."
