From the Director:

We believe that play is the foundation upon which academic learning is built. Young children learn best through concrete experiences and active manipulation of materials. Learning is not restricted to repeating what someone else says; instead, true learning requires active participation, thinking and experimentation to find out how things work in our world. We feel that children need the freedom to make their own choices in materials and build and create how they see fit in order to become thinkers and doers.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

We look at each child in our group as an individual and as they are within the context of their specific family, community, culture, linguistic norms, social group, past experience (including learning and behavior), and current circumstances.

Handling Separation: From the Director

We understand that different children react to separations and new situations in different ways; some children adapt more easily and some are shyer and take longer to adjust. We work hand in hand with parents to ensure a smooth transition. This includes meeting with the child prior to the start of school and allowing them to get comfortable with their new setting in the presence of their parents.
