Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Children do not get behind in our curriculum because it is thematic based and repeats itself every 26 weeks. We have a small ration of children per teacher as well, allowing individual time and attention per student.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We communicate daily with our parents both verbally and on a written daily sheet. Parents are free to call throughout the day at any time day or night for a progress update of their child. We do formal evaluations every 3 months. Parents are made aware on Monday mornings in writing what their child will be doing and eating for that week, in detail. Including art, music, books, science and dramatic play.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Small group sessions
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation
  • Parents in classroom early on
  • Abbreviated schedule at start of school year

Handling Separation: From the Director

Most of our children have started with us from 6 weeks of age and have been with us ever since. On occasion we do have a new child start that does have separation anxiety. Since we only have a maximum of 15 children this allows us to give that child individual attention until they understand that our facility is a safe and loving environment for them. This is where our specialized training comes into play as well.
