General Approach to Learning: Teacher-Led

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Each child is given individual attention based on their skill level. Children who are excelling are given extra activites, children who are behind are given extra guidance from the teacher while the other children are working on their own or by an aid.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Our program is designed on the premise that a child's development should include emotional, social, mental, physical, and spiritual stimulation in order to grow to their full potential.
Spiritual growth is nurtured by utilizing Biblical concepts and principles throughout the daily educational process.
We strive to maintain a creative and exciting environment that promotes curiosity, appreciation, goodwill toward others, and a positive approach to learning.

A Typical Day

The children are involved in centers or other special activities such as playing outdoors when weather permits until 9:00 a.m. At which time we begin our school day with Chapel, followed by snack time then classtime. We end the morning with Lunch followed by storytime then naptime. After nap we have snack, chapel connection and then the children are involved in centers or other special activities such as playing outdoors when weather permits until they are picked up by their parents. We strive to play outdoors at least twice per day when weather permits.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

The children are given homework assignments to work on with the parents. Each parent has the opportunity to connect with the teachers when necessary or desired. Parent letters and e-mails are used to communicate. Parent-teacher meetings are scheduled as time permits.

Separation

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation
  • Parents in classroom early on
  • Abbreviated schedule at start of school year

Handling Separation: From the Director
