Hi and Welcome to the Family Tree House. We are a licensed preschool located in a quiet neighborhood. We just recently expanded from a licensed home center. We offer care for ages 6 weeks-10 years with limited availability in our 6w- 18 mnt I/T room and schoolage room. We have many spaces left in our preschool program with a variety of options to fit your schedule. Our rates are competitive and usually well under larger daycare centers in the area. If you would like more information about our facility or to set up a tour please give us a call! Thanks Have a blesse day!

Other subjects taught Over the last year I decided I was unhappy with trditional preschool literacy activities and early reading. I have worked very hard to use multiple parts of differnt methods to create a program that really works including word wall, early readers, and sight word memorization. This year we will also incude word families!

From the Director:

We currently are following the public schools curriculum, but will be purchasing a curriculum this year that fits our needs better.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Children are assessed in the begining of fall to see where there skill levels are and lessons are adapted based on need.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We have several events we already participate in. The thanksgiving feast, trike-a-thon, and end of the year program allow our parents to get together. We also have an open door policy so parents can drop in with a few minutes notice.

Parents Say They are Encouraged to:

  • Are able to visit the school anytime we want
  • Volunteer in the classroom
  • Receive newsletters

Modes of Communication

  • Notes
  • Phone Calls
  • Voice Mail
  • Email
  • Special Meetings
  • Drop-Off
  • Pick-Up
  • Regular newsletter/printed updates circulated to the whole school

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Abbreviated schedule at start of school year

Handling Separation: From the Director

We know how hard it is to leave your little one behind when they don't want to stay that day, but with patients and reasurance we are able to calm an upset child down. Every child is always told mom or dad ( or grandparent) "will always be back for you" lets have fun while they are at work. if a child asks for a parent they are always told that their parent misses them as well and they will be here as soon as they can.
