A Typical Day

"A typical day at Val ley Preschool :
Arrival – Curbside drop-off: A teacher meets your car,
greets the child and escor ts her into the building.
Child Directed Learning: Children select from a
var iety of different mater ials and activities from the
cur r iculum based on their interests. Teacher s wor k
with children individually or in small groups; helping
them make choices, wor k with mater ials, and tr y new
Snack: Children enjoy a healthy snack ser ved and
super vised by teacher s.
Group Time: Children engage in yoga, dance , music
movements, games, stor ies, science and reading.
Clean-up: Children and teacher s share responsibilities
for picking up and or ganizing the classroom.
Outdoor play: Children enjoy free playtime in our
lar ge , fenced-in back yard. Weather permitting, we
spend time outdoor s ever y day.
Depar ture – Curbside pick-up: A teacher br ings your
child to your car and helps him with car seating and
safety belts.
