"Helping your child become all that he or she can be is the goal of
St. Cloud Area Child Link. The program helps families assess the
Special needs of their child and helps families locate the resources to
meet those needs.
The IEIC committee is composed of professionals and parents who coordinate services for young children ages birth through two with disabilities and their families. The duties of the Committee include identification of current services and funding provided within the community and evaluating and improving early intervention services.
When a child is referred to the IEIC, the initial team members will include a representative from the school district, social services, and public health agencies within the county/area in which the child's parents reside. Other agencies providing service to the family may be included.
As a team, the parents and professionals develop an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) to meet the needs of the child and his/her family. The family is then assigned an IFSP Service Coordinator who will assist the family in carrying out the IFSP.
