"Concentration is the cornerstone for learning.
The children are focused as they manipulate the intriguing materials. Their attention span lengthens as a result of their dilligent work. The ability to concentrate is born!
Many of the materials were designed to be self-correcting.
Lessons with materials are given individually. The teacher sits next to the child at the table or on the floor during the presentation. After the initial introduction, the child is "invited" to continue on his own. Teachers observe but do not interrupt the work. They do not interfere or point out any mistakes. The concept will be learned eventually as a result of the child's trial and error.
Intrinsic joy blossoms without the need for external feedback.
A tremendous sense of satisfaction is gained from the children's independent accomplishments. No need for sticker rewards or adult praise.
The natural love of learning and the gift of self-esteem grow as the child absorbs knowledge from their prepared environment. "
