School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

We offer an enriched environment that encourages the growth of the whole child: cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. We follow Minnesota's Early Learning Standards.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

With teacher/student ratios of 1/5 we are able to individualize instruction as needed throughout the day. With the advanced training of our staff we are able to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Our philosophy is that each child is unique, and develops best in a warm, nurturing environment where they can experience many varied activities and know that he/she is capable and lovable. Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We hold Parent/Teacher conferences three times thoughout the year. We hold an Admission Conference with each family privately to discuss goals for each child. We hold a Parent Orientation to acquaint parents with our general program goals. We provide monthly parent newsletters to offer parents suggested home activities. We provide class newsletters weekly and monthly to inform parents of specific learning activities and goals.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

We provide a gradual orientation for each child with gentle, individualized attention as needed. Parents and teachers discuss the appropriate care for their child to help them become comfortable in the classroom.
