Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

At Mis Amigos, we provide a monthly "Home Packet" that helps parents review and practice what is being taught at school. We also schedule two annual parent-teacher conferences. At the conferences we review the progress and development of the children according to state and national standards.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school

Handling Separation: From the Director

Separation can be hard for many children. Usually fears can be calmed by meeting the teacher and staff before school begins. Its often a good idea to come a little early the first week and spend time together in the classroom before school begins. Once its time to go, a warm hug and a cheery "I'll be back soon!" is the best way to make the separation easier on your child.
