The curriculum is structured to foster a love of learning. We encourage children to learn through exploration and discovery with appropriate teacher direction. Daily activities are offered to help children develop an understanding of the world around them.

General School Mission

We believe that Early Childhood education is an integral part of our congregational mission and ministry. We consider each child to be a precious gift from God who deserves our love, care, and guidance. children come into the world simply bursting with God-given potential just waiting to be developed! We make it our goal to help each child discover his or her potential.

Our teachers are warm, loving role modes who seek to provide a vast array of activities specifically designed to help children develop physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually, and spiritually. In all situations, it is our aim to cultivate personal integrity and self-respect. At the same time, we understand that a child's education is not our responsiblity alone. It's actually a team effort that involves our preschoo, our congregation, the community, the family and the child.

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We provide monthly newsletters and calendars to keep parents in touch with what is going on in the classroom. Parent-Teacher conferences are held in the fall and the spring. We strive to develop a team-approach with each family so that parents feel in-touch with their child's education.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school

Handling Separation: From the Director

We give parents tips to make the transition easier on everyone. In our 3-year old classroom, the children are encouraged to bring a favorite stuffed animal the first week of class to have something from home for comfort. We spend a lot of time the first month of class developing a community in the classroom so that the children feel important and so they get to know one another.
