"Our preschool offers parents a unique opportunity to be involved and participate in their children's education by serving as classroom assistants, sharing talents while participating on committees, providing snacks, attending field trips, maintaining and cleaning the school and by attending General Membership Meetings (GMMs) and Parent Education Nights (PENs).
An important aspect of our school is parent education. Many insights into the development and behavior of our children are gained through observing them in a setting planned for and scaled to meet their interests and needs. At the GMMs, the board and teachers will inform you about what's going on in the classroom and in the Co-Op. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and to give suggestions that you would like to see incorporated into our school. On occasion, we will vote on issues affecting our preschool. PENs may include teacher presentations, workshops, special programs or professional speakers. They are of utmost importance to the parent participation concept of our school.
