My 3 year old son attended Preschool at Little Turtle for one month. I had my doubts during meet the teacher day, I was not greeted at all by Ms.Ringwelski but was greeted by Ms.Donut. When I would drop or pick up my child, I felt as if they did not speak with him as you would speak to a 3 year old. They were very dry and not nurturing. I took my son out of the program due to one day, dropping him off, as he went to sit by a friend, Ms.Donut rudely yelled at him in front of all the children and four other parents "no no no, you go sit back there!" I then asked Ms.Donut why did she remove my child from sitting next to him and she said to me, HIS MOTHER, "He's turmoil, those two together are turmoil they're no good" When she said that, my 3 year old jumped and went back to another spot. He was extremely embarrassed and scared. Who would call a 3 year old a name? Nevertheless, yell at him. I was never notified regarding any misbehavior about my child. I will never forget the look on my sons face. I was in shock and didn't know how to respond at the time. I went into my car and immediately called the Director Nicki, I explained to her what happened with my son and she did tell me it's not tolerated but never insisted on having a meeting or giving me the confidence to know or feel my son is in a safe and bully-free environment. I really felt as if my son was bullied in front of me. Every time I think about it, it breaks my heart. Since the Director did not give me any sort of meeting or tell me she will get down to the problem that just occurred I decided to pull my son out of there, When I went in to get him out of the school, as any mother seeing her child being picked on and verbally abused by a teacher....my anger built and I shared a few words of my own with her and am now transferring him to a more appropriate school where I know he will be cared for and develop properly.
