At St. Robert School we believe that the total education of the child is our reason for being. We believe that the cognitive, the affective and the psychomotor domains of the individual must be developed as fully as possible. We believe that the total education involves the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical dimensions of each child that we touch. We believe that it is our responsibility to facilitate the total growth of our students.
At St. Robert School we create an atmosphere which nurtures the total child. This atmosphere is Catholic Christian in its physical and social structure. This atmosphere stresses a controlled freedom which allows children the latitude to make responsible decisions and to accept the consequences of those decisions. It is "family-based" and nurturing. In short, the atmosphere that we are attempting to create is one that will support the growth and development of the total child.
At St. Robert School we approach the educational development of our students with specific ends in mind. An affective approach to basic skill education in the content areas of Religion, the Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science is employed. An approach to the transmission of our Catholic heritage from generation to generation is ever present in our minds as it continues to develop at our school. These approaches to the implementation of our belief in the development of the total individual are evidenced in our atmosphere and our program at St. Robert School.
