"It is the policy of this preschool to provide a developmental program for preschool children in the community. The child grows in the areas of social, emotional, cognitive, and motor development while engaged in both free play in a planned environment and a structured activity time. Through this type of an environment, we feel the child will have a positive preschool experience, which will lead to a more successful formal school experience.
In September 1987, due to increased liability insurance costs, the preschool and Davisburg United Methodist Church agreed that preschool insurance coverage would be covered under the church. The preschool remains a separate non-profit corporation with its own Board of Directors and Officers. The basic curriculum remains the same and the staff agrees to teach Christian values in everyday circumstances in the preschool setting. A curriculum committee (consisting of the president, one other preschool board member, a church representative, and the teacher/director) is established to monitor the teaching of Christian values.
