Day in the Life

General School Mission

This is a recreational and supplementary educational program for 3 and 4 year olds, respectively. The 3 year old program is intended to provide 3 year olds with a gentle atmosphere of acceptance where children can develop social, emotional and physical skills without pressure. Using tools such as colors, shapes, numbers, the calender and the weather, children are exposed to basic skills essential to school success. The 4 year old program provides an atmosphere that allows more time to delve into subjects of interest. Activities are based on themes which include lessons involving cooking, science, math, language enrichment, art, music, literature and social studies. These help children develop the cognitive, physical and social skills essential to kindergarten success. The 4 year old program allows more time to delve into subjects of interest. Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Communication with parents is very important to the Creative Playtime staff. The director meets the parent and child at the front door each morning and allows time for dialogue. Teacher/parent meetings are scheduled at the request of the parent. There are monthly newsletters and weekly flyers with pertinent information. An open house is held before the school year begins. Back-to-school night is held after the first few weeks of school. There are several times throughout the year when parents/family are invited to attend a special event.

Separation

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation
