Our literature based thematic curriculum fosters a love and awareness of literature, nature, math and science, poetry, dance, music and teamwork. Our "hands-on" activities promote success and pride as the children experiment and try new things.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Each day there is a focus on cooperation between children and between children and adults. There are many opportunities for one-to one interaction between the children and teachers. Creativitiy and critical thinking are important components to the daily plans, and meeting each child exactly where he/she is developmentally is our primary concern. Tolerance and consideration for others are cultivated. Throughout the year, friendships are nurtured. There is a sense of respect taught for both the speaker and the listener, whether it is a child or adult. Children can express their feelings safely and are inspired to appreciate each other, themselves, and their work.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

The curriculum at Trinity Preschool presents an integrated, process-oriented, thematic approach with the emphasis on children's literature. Activities are based on weekly/monthly themes, which combine language, math, science, music, art and cooking related experiences. The children enjoy listening to stories through books and story telling techniques. They are also offered open ended activities based upon the stories in conjunction with the chosen theme. There are many learning opportunitieis for the children in the interest areas they visit each day.

Handling Separation: From the Director

Starting preschool can be difficult for some children and families. We use every resource available to help make this transition easier. We have extra staff available at all times to help in a classroom or with a child who is having a hard time. We give hugs, read stories, reassure the children that their caregiver will come back soon!
