General School Mission

"The Tewksbury Public Schools Preschool Program provides the introduction to and the foundations of learning. These learning experiences serve as the first bridge between home and school. They channel children's natural enthusiasm and curiosity to set the stage for future learning.
Our early childhood classrooms are multicultural learning environments that recognize the value of diversity and appreciate the uniqueness of each child and his/her family. We welcome all children as individual learners with a variety of aptitudes and skills.
The curriculum embraces all elementary frameworks and consists of hands-on experiences that develop concepts, foster skill developments, and instructional practices that are based on the knowledge of how young children learn.
Our goal is to create an environment that helps children develop self-concepts as competent learners, adjust to new environments, establish appropriate behavior, and connect with the outside world while acquiring academic experiences.
It is our belief that a nurturing teacher and a success-orientated curriculum will have a lifelong effect on a young child's learning.
