Day in the Life

General School Mission

At the Charles River YMCA preschool we have a child centered learning philosophy which integrates play through learning and utilizes all of our resources to benefit your child. We nurture and encourage the YMCA values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in our students and do so through age appropriate learning activities. Charles River YMCA also fosters the arts in young learners and integrates art education into our monthly preschool curriculum.

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We offer Open Houses, Parent Teacher Meetings, and Parent Teacher Conferences.


Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Parents in classroom early on
