Philosophy & Approach

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Our goal is to provide a safe stimulating environment in which children can grow and develop with the nurturing support and guidance of teachers, staff, and parents. We are committed to providing the highest quality child care and the best early education to the children and families we serve. We will accomplish this by:

Focusing on each child's unique abilities and potential
Providing activities that foster growth socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically
Hiring qualified staff with a caring, nurturing, loving supportive attitude
Providing opportunities for parents to be involved in all aspects of their children's care

We believe, and research supports, that children do the most important learning before the age of five. They learn best through child-centered and child-directed activities, and through play and exploration of materials. Teachers act as facilitators, providing materials, freedom and support for each child to learn at his/her own pace.

We recognize that every aspect of the program's operation affects all of the children enrolled. The physical environment, the staff, the plan for activities, and the services all contribute to the children's experience. The program maintains a maximum quality level that promotes the children's health, growth, and development; encourages services that strengthen family life; and supports families in their essential function of nurturing their children's development.
