General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

All children are assessed 3 times yearly using a research based tool. The curriculum is adjusted to meet the needs of the individual child based on these assessments. Specialists are brought in to work with children when necessary.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

The Infant/Toddler and Preschool Programs are designed to meet the needs of each individual child. Our hands-on developmentally appropriate curriculum is designed so that each child is encouraged to learn at his or her own pace. Our goal is to prepare each child socially, emotionally, academically and physically to enter school reday to succeed.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

USES has a Parent's Council that meets monthly. We also have full parent meetings quarterly. Families are encouraged to be partners in their child's learning by visiting and sharing in the classrooms. Three times yearly, when each child's assessment is completed, the parents and teachers meet to discuss the results and share ideas.
