Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Every child is included in all activites by encouraging words, calling the child by his or her name and inviting him or her and getting excited about a project to impel the child to join.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Our daycare is more like a home-away-from home. We consider ourselves to by the children's extended family.

A Typical Day

breakfast--9:30 am
10:00 am--morning devotion(colors, shapes, pledge,name, address, and so on.
10:30 am--playtime-potty breaks
11:00 am--prepared lessons focusing on words, math and the weather.
12:00 --lunch time-this is time for table manners and small talk at the table.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We conduct a quarterly evaluation of the children to send home to parents, have an open house three times a year, and do annual reposts.

Parents Say They are Encouraged to:

  • Hold social events at the school to build community
  • Fundraise
  • Are able to visit the school anytime we want
  • Go on field trips
  • Receive newsletters

Modes of Communication

  • Notes
  • Phone Calls
  • Special Meetings
  • Drop-Off
  • Pick-Up
  • Regular newsletter/printed updates circulated to the whole school

Separation is Handled through:

  • Small group sessions
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

Something of the parent is required-an item or picture. The child is assured that the parent will return for him or her throughout the day.
